Additional Informations: The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duoface GMT Reference 240.2.18 forms part of the evolved Reverso line whose origins date back to 1931. Originally conceived as a reversible sports watch designed to protect the crystal during polo matches, the Reverso gradually developed into one of the manufacture’s most distinctive platforms for technical innovation and complications. With the introduction of the Duoface models in the 1990s, Jaeger-LeCoultre succeeded in integrating two fully functional dials within a single reversible case, establishing a unique approach to dual-time indications in rectangular watchmaking.
The present example is executed in 18-carat rose gold and dates from 2009. The characteristic rectangular Reverso case measures approximately 29 × 46 mm and houses the manually wound in-house Calibre 878. This movement drives two independent dials: the front dial displays local time with a large date and day/night indication, while the reverse dial is dedicated to a second time zone, featuring its own day/night indicator and a power-reserve display. The GMT functionality is clearly laid out and practical, making this model a refined yet usable travel watch within the classical Reverso format.
The watch is presented in very good condition, with only minor signs of wear consistent with careful use. It is fitted with the original leather strap and the original Jaeger-LeCoultre rose gold folding clasp.
The set is completed by the original box and guarantee certificate.
