Additional Informations: Introduced in the early 1940s with an antimagnetic manual winding movement, this chronograph bears the legendary Rolex reference 4062. Its design perfectly encapsulates the exciting era for chronographs. The distinctive case with its coin-edged flanks and elongated teardrop lugs has bestowed upon this timepiece high recognition among collectors, rendering it highly coveted. The refined square pushers harmonize seamlessly with the slim case.
This model was offered in various case metals such as yellow gold, stainless steel, two-tone, and, as in the present example, rose gold. The slim and elegant case boasts a comfortable diameter of 36mm, ensuring an exceptionally comfortable wearing experience.
Of particular note is that this variant is an extremely rare chronometer version. The production of its components required the utmost precision, and only a select few watchmakers were up to the challenge at the time. Hence, we suspect that this particular piece was significantly more expensive than any other antimagnetic variant.
The dial exhibits the charming warmth of its age, yet what truly sets this specimen apart is its originality. Unlike many examples commonly found today, this dial is NOT restored or reprinted but remains the authentic original from its era.
The case is in excellent condition, with the coin-edged flanks fully intact. A luxurious wearing experience is ensured by the high-quality crocodile leather strap from Kaufmann, paired with a gold-plated Rolex buckle.
