Additional Informations: This special edition was launched as part of the esteemed and highly coveted Collection Privée Cartier Paris (1998-2008). Through this collection, Cartier reinterpreted its groundbreaking timepieces, meticulously reworking the models to meet the demands of a modern audience. This Tank watch was given powerful new dimensions and measures 40 mm x 30 mm. The Cartier Tank XL 2915 was produced between 2006 and 2008, and as with all models in the CPCP collection, the production numbers were limited. Approximately 100 pieces were crafted from rose gold, and it is believed that no more than 50 pieces were made from platinum, one of which is beautifully presented here. The highly polished platinum case frames the fully engine-turned, silver guilloché dial. Cartier’s classic black Roman numerals surround the dial, while the traditional black railroad minute track follows the shape of the case and sits within the Roman numerals. Two features of the dial confirm its CPCP provenance: the “Cartier, Paris” signature below the 12 and the central silver rose. Blued steel hands mark the hours and minutes, perfectly matching the sapphire blue cabochon of the beaded crown.
