Additional Informations: The Rolex Day-Date is a very special model that was first introduced in 1956. It was the first Rolex watch to feature both a date and a day display simultaneously. Both change together in one jump, switching both the day of the week and the date - a revolutionary complication at the time!
The case of the watch still measures 36 mm in diameter in current models and showcases the typical robust and elegant Oyster design.
The dial is in gold. Gold or champagne tones look particularly harmonious with a rose gold case. A rarity of this variant is the "Underline" dial, which features a small horizontal line beneath the Rolex logo, with only "Swiss" marked at six o'clock. This detail indicates that the watch is marked with Tritium, a slightly radioactive luminescent substance first used by Rolex in the early 1960s.
The watch is powered by an automatic Caliber 1556, known for its reliability and precision. It features a Breguet hairspring and a Parachrom hairspring, making the watch resistant to shocks and temperature variations.
Typically, the watch is equipped with a President bracelet; however, it is rare - like in this case - to find it with a rose gold rivet band, which not only offers an impressive look but also greater comfort. The Big-Logo clasp in rose gold is even rarer; in over 25 years, we have only sighted this one example!
