Additional Informations: Offered for sale is a Rolex Daytona reference 6265 from 1972, preserved in an exceptional state of condition. The watch has been worn very little and, overall, can be described as near NOS.
It is fitted with an early original dial bearing the “T SWISS T” signature at 6 o’clock. A distinctive feature of this watch is the set of tropical brown sub-dials, which have developed evenly from their original black color. The patina is authentic and well balanced. All luminous plots are fully intact; nothing has been relumed, replaced, or restored.
The case and bracelet remain in unpolished original condition. Edges are sharp and proportions untouched. The stainless steel bezel is also unpolished, with crisp, deep, and well-defined numerals. Overall, the watch shows no signs of cosmetic intervention.
All components are period-correct, including the MK2 pushers, original domed Plexiglas, MK2 steel bezel, and the correct contemporary folded bracelet. The watch presents itself in a fully coherent configuration, consistent with how it was originally delivered.
The Daytona is offered as a complete full set. In addition, the watch received a service at an official Rolex authorized dealer in 2022 and has not been worn since.
An exceptionally preserved reference 6265 with an original tropical dial, complete history, and untouched condition - a rare example of an early Daytona retaining its original delivery appearance.
